FestiFunk ‘Bringing the real funk out of you’
FestiFunk is a festival clothing brand designed and produced by me for my Final Major Project. I have a real passion for bright and colourful clothing, and through my research I discovered that festival fashion is becoming more popular due to the number of young people attending festivals each year.
With this in mind I created a brand, logo and window display to showcase a set of unique outfits that are perfect for festival wear. I gathered local charity shop finds and items from my wardrobe, transforming and styling them into fresh new garments and looks. My aim was to help get my visual merchandising career off to a great start!
Visual Merchandising \ Stylist
I have always been a highly motivated and hardworking person. I am very interested in fashion, so I studied a fashion-based course at the University of South Wales: the BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion course. Looking and dressing stylishly every day is important to me, and i also love styling other people, as well as visiting shops to research different clothing and brands.
One of my interests is going to the gym as i love keeping fit and healthy. I enjoy travelling and have lived in Canada and parts of America for four years of my life. I also love a retail environment, as clothes are a passion for me and I would like to gain more experience within this area to help develop my career in the future.
I am an easy going individual who gets along with anyone, and I work well in a group environment too, as I have demonstrated throughout school and within a number of my University projects.
I am really hoping to gain experience in a part of retail which will help to enhance my improving communication skills, and my understanding of customer needs within the store or other role requirements.
