My name is Sherrie Maskell. I am a final year student studying fashion design at USW. In the future I aspire to have my own clothing line representing all women. I love making art, such as beautiful illustrations. I enjoy working on the stand and draping workshops, seeing how the fabric will fall on the bodies to compliment them.
My graduate collection is based around body positivity. Using the female form as inspiration, I created a collection that would be suitable for all shapes and sizes. The garments are designed to be oversized and adjustable to suit the wearer. I used bright and bold colours that would stand out, and organza fabric so that the garments would have a revealing effect.
I want women to be seen and embrace who they are. I want women to feel comfortable and be confident. I want to promote self-love and empowerment of the female body as we are all beautiful.
